Let the Sun Vitamin shine into your skin with SunDew Transdermal D3 Crème.

Why Choose a Transdermal Application of Vitamin D?
Transdermal medicine is one of the best ways of administering substances quickly and effectively. Transdermal methods of delivery are widely used because they allow absorption directly through the skin. Gels, emulsion creams, sprays, and lip balm stick applicators are easy to use and allow medicine to enter the bloodstream quickly.

Stomach acids and digestive enzymes break down traditional delivery methods such as tablets or capsules before the medicine gets into the bloodstream. Bypassing the stomach and liver means a much greater percentage of the active ingredient goes where it's needed.

Transdermal medicine can do just about anything that oral and intravenous drugs can do. Transdermal treatments can address systemic nutritional deficiencies and improve immune, hormonal, and nervous systems; protect cells from oxidative damage; open up cell wall permeability; and reduce the risk of disease.

Why is a Topical Form of Vitamin D3 So Helpful?
Topical application of vitamin D affects the function of immune cells in the skin and facilitates draining lymph nodes, as well as targeting inflammatory processes in the skin. Topical creams containing active vitamin D3 are currently used with some success to treat a variety of skin conditions.

Transdermal application of vitamin D delivers benefits directly to your skin, through your skin. Our Sundew Crème combines a fat-soluble vitamin with supercritical extracts of seabuckthorn berry, turmeric and essential oils whose beneficial properties revitalize skin cells. Sandalwood, rose otto, immortelle, ginger, frankincense, thyme linalool, and palmarosa all penetrate the lipid matrix so that vitamin D is easily absorbed into the nucleus where it binds to vitamin D receptors.

Vitamin D receptors are directly linked to cell proliferation and differentiation as well as immune function. SunDew's potent and pure ingredients reinforce delicate skin tissue and maintain the valuable lipid barrier that locks in moisture. Along with optimal vitamin D intake, topical vitamin D application can create a rejuvenating and quenching effect on sun-damaged skin.

    The Benefits of Vitamin D
Vitamin D3 in the form of calcitriol is a powerful hormone that activates over 2000 genes and is therefore responsible for countless functions in the body. Optimal vitamin D intake is fundamental for the health, beauty and cellular renewal of our largest organ, the skin. There are many factors that can inhibit the body's own production of vitamin D including geographic latitude, seasons, and the use of synthetic sunscreen.

Letting the sun shine in is a beautiful thing, but too much time in the sun can cause damage. Vitamin D plays a vital role in skin cell development and repair, as well as revitalizing the skin's immune system and helping to eliminate free radicals that can cause premature aging.

Everything that is applied to the body is absorbed by the body. This is to our advantage when we apply pure ingredients that can nourish the skin AND the body.

Longevity Warehouse® SunDew Transdermal D3 Crème is a unique formula that delivers pure botanicals and potent vitamin D (2000 IU per application on face – over 100,000 IU per jar) to hydrate, revitalize, and sustain your skin's healthy glow.

All organic ingredients: Rosewater; Rosehips; Aloe Vera; Jojoba Herbal Infusions of Horsetail, Nettles, Marshmallow, and Seabuckthorn; Vitamin D3 (from lanolin); Rose Wax; Sandalwood; Turmeric; Ginger; Immortelle; Frankincense; Lavender; Rose Otto; Palmarosa and Thyme Linalool; Rosemary and Sage Antioxidants.

    Rose Otto
Rosa damascena is an elegant and precious essence. It takes sixty roses to make one drop of essential oil. One of the most medicinally valued extracts, it adds resiliency and elasticity to the skin. It is an effective analgesic and it is vulnerary, meaning it speeds up healing with its potent antiviral and antiseptic properties. It has the ability to regenerate connective tissues and tonify the skin.

    Seabuckthorn Berry
Hippophae rhamnoides is an incredibly rich and vital oil, perfectly balanced in omega 3, 6, 7, and 9 oils extracted from the berry. Our seabuckthorn berry is a special supercritical extract that is able to capture over 190 bioactive substances from the edible berry. The oil is also potent in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory beta carotene, carotenoids, and phytosterols that reduce redness and heal mucous membranes. The oil regenerates cells, protects against cell water loss and is rich in vitamins C, E, and provitamin A and B group vitamins. This ingredient is rich in lipids, beneficial fatty acids, and rare palmitoleic acids. All of these extraordinary plant properties contribute to regenerating and revitalizing connective tissue.

    Thyme Linalool
Thymus officinalis ct. linalool is a rare chemotype of the thyme species. It is antiseptic and gentle. Overall, thyme linalool is an effective and tonifying immuno-stimulant with anti-bacterial agents.

Turmeric's anti-microbial and antioxidant properties provide healing support for rashes, eczema, wounds, and skin repair, and is reported to provide some natural defense against radiation. Turmeric blocks the inflammatory master molecule NF-kb, a pro-inflammatory transcription factor that is activated in the watery portion of the cell which, during oxidative stress, travels to the nucleus where it affects gene expression and produces inflammatory proteins called cytokines --  in effect, producing more free radicals that feed off of healthy cells. Turmeric's other gene regulating properties include binding to and activating vitamin D receptors and blocking glycation.

Alpha and beta santol in sandalwood are effective against skin cell dysfunction and have the ability to affect several metabolic pathways which influence cancer formation – for example, the mevalonate pathway that contributes to abnormal cell growth. Daily use of sandalwood is a proactive preventative for strengthening, rejuvenating and protecting our skin against UV and chemical exposure.

The cell-regenerative (cytophylactic) properties of frankincense frees nerves of excessive tension and promotes healing of skin anomalies such as scars, skin ulcers, and skin tags. Frankincense is also a natural astringent that tones the skin.

Restorative diketones exclusive to immortelle heal scars, acne blemishes, and wounds, regenerating skin at the cellular level. Immortelle also contains neryl acetate, an anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory muscle relaxant compound of alpha, beta, and gamma curcumenes which are potent heavy metal chelators.
